![]() Taylor Scott Davis recently graduated with his BM in Sacred Music from Centenary College of Louisiana, and is now the director of music at First United Methodist Church in Fulshear, Texas. Taylor has been writing since before he can remember and won awards in first and second grades for composition in the Reflections Contest. He is a former president, student conductor, and tenor section leader for the Centenary College Choir, member and soloist for Camerata and Chorale at Centenary College (recently featured at MENC). He has his own jazz trio and has released two CDs. He is a published composer, with works released by serveral different publishing companies, and enjoys baseball - most specifically the Astros. The son of Sid Davis (director of music and fine arts Saint Luke United Methodist Church, Houston, Texas), Taylor has always been involved with children's and youth choirs. After graduating from high school he came back to work with the youth choir, Pure Sound, and recently wrote the music for Pure Sound's spring musical, The Long Way Home.
